IPF College Athlete Updates
Here is the latest update on our Summer 5:30am “College” Athletes, and what has transpired since the returned to School. Before going any further, the overwhelming Positive Feedback we have received from our Athletes (and their Coaches) regarding their Overall Health, their Fitness + Strength Testing, their Feedback from Coaches, and, most importantly, their own evaluation of their Play + Performances has been Amazing!!!
In many cases, these athletes were singled out for being the “Most Fit”, “Most Prepared” or “Set the Standard” (all direct Quotes) for their respective Teams…
There is much more to Sports than Preparation, Fitness and Testing, but you have to Start the Year Right to have a Great Year!
This has truly been an Incredible response, and, as you will read, the Character of our Kids has been acknowledged as often as the Quality of their Preparation…
Mackenzie Kennedy/Endicott Has had an Incredible Senior Season, as she leads the CCC Conference in Digs per Set and has been “Libero of the Week” x5 thus far. Additionally, Kenzie set multiple Team Records for Fitness Testing, including 300yd Shuttle Times, Lift totals (Bench, Squat, Deadlift) and Vertical Jump. The only Bad News Mackenzie received this year was that the records that she surpassed were all of her own!
Tori Roche/Babson is in the 1st “Part” of her Senior year as she has been a 2-Sport Collegiate Athlete since she arrived on campus. Tori is the Starting Catcher on the Softball Team, but has been Tearing Up the Field Hockey Turf this Season (again) as she recently scored her 100th Career Point. She is just 1 of 10 Athletes ever to do so for Babson, and her Season is not over as the Playoffs begin soon for this Ranked Team.
Tori entered her Senior year the Fittest and Strongest she has ever been, and was repeatedly complimented by her Coaching Staff for her Physical Improvement + Commitment.
Abby Nearis/Brown Abby begins her Junior Year at Brown by being named Captain of the Women’s Ice Hockey Team. She was an Assistant Captain last year as a Sophomore, a terrific acknowledgement of her Character. Her College Group Teammates are not surprised, however, as Abby was recognized as a “High Achiever” this Summer. The recognition was in part to her Physical Improvement, her Overall Fitness, her Excellent Attendance, and her (newly) Positive Personality…
Veronica Alois/Brown Veronica joins Abby Nearis as a Captain for Brown Women’s Hockey. Veronica initially was a 2-Sport Athlete at Brown (Soccer + Hockey) before focusing on Hockey. Her Senior year begins as she has grown as a Leader and a Person. Veronica is a longtime Member of IPF and we are all thrilled for her continued Success…
Kaleb Moody/Choate Kaleb “reluctantly” agreed to attend Choate as a Post-Grad and things have skyrocketed for him since then. This Spring + Summer, Kaleb Rehabbed at IPF and Improved an Injury from his previous Football season. He then participated in a select few “Football Combine Camps”, performing so well he was “Offered” and soon after “Committed” to Harvard Football for the 2020 Season. One Coach indicated that he was the Top Performer at the Camp because of his Physical Abilities. He is currently playing extremely well at Choate after pushing himself all Summer. Kaleb gained Muscle, Improved his Speed, and has played wherever they have asked him as his role on the Team continues to grow. We are pumped for Kaleb and all that he has accomplished…
Ryan Puglisi/Union Ryan had an Incredible Summer of Training at IPF, and was Named to the Hall of Fame for his Efforts. In addition to becoming his “Biggest, Strongest” Self, Ryan represented the Italian National Lacrosse Team in Tournament Play, in Portugal. Upon his return to Union, he Tested extremely well in their Fitness Tests for their new Head Coach. “Pug” was a model of Determination this Summer, Working a Full-Time Job, Training with Great Consistency and Acting as a Leader in the Weight Room. We can’t wait to see what the Lacrosse Season holds for him!
Alex Mondini/Merrimack Alex was the most Fit Athlete on the Merrimack Field Hockey Team this Season, as it moved up to Division 1 Status. Alex was supremely prepared for the upgrade, as she Started each Game for her squad. Alex will Graduate in December and begin PT School the following semester. Alex Trained with the same Outlook as she prepared for School, with Clear Goals in mind! We are thrilled for Alex as she finishes one “Life”, and begins another!
